I'm a freelance photographer based in the Kansas City, Missouri area and provide nation wide on-site photography services to individuals, organisations and companies.

Photography is an art that can capture human emotions, brilliant sunsets, the motion of waterfalls and the global issues that are facing us today.  Photography can tell a story of our past and our present. It provides the key to holding on to memories forever, and people who may no longer be with us today. It provides us with happiness, bewilderment, excitement and captures the Earth in all of it glorious wonders.

There are many things that motivate me and inspire me.  When I began, it was about the joy that that it brings to my life and the feeling of independence, that it has given me. It was about achieving a career, which is intellectually stimulating as well as emotionally fulfilling. It has filled a hole, that I had, which was I wasn’t truly fulfilling my true potential as a person.

Sometimes fear is something, that stops all of us, and I believe that is something I had gone through.  I feel like I climbed a mountain and have reached the other side. As challenges come my way, I feel I have the strength to move through them. I believe we all have the strength inside of us to reach our true potential and we are the one’s that stop ourselves.

Women are very strong and we can accomplish, whatever we put our minds too. I am blessed in my life to be surrounded by women who accomplished many things, from building companies from the ground up, to the women who are single mothers and are working 50 hours a week to make ends meet.  Then there are the women I know who have started in a company on the bottom and have worked all their way up. I feel blessed to say, one of my strongest role models, is my mother. She always told me I can accomplish anything and be whoever I wanted to be. She never once, squashed any dream I had.

There are many things that motivate me. Along with my photography, I am a big believer in giving back. I work with three charities a year pro-bono, because that is where my values are. As humans I believe in order to change the world, we need to be the individual who creates the change. I speak to Colleges and companies about Diversity Awareness.  As America’s face changes towards a more diverse landscape, I believe their needs to more education about each others backgrounds and my hope in speaking is to help educate people about any stereotypes that they may have.

My back ground is very diverse, and I believe the attendees of my speeches, relate well to me.  I recently spoke to a crowd of 100 people, ranging from 16-26, males and females and very different backgrounds.  I honestly can say, I got so much from them and they motivate me. Many come from very hard pasts and very or little parental support and they are working incredibly hard to recreate their lives and create a positive path for themselves. While they feel, I have motivate them, I believe they touched me more, and it drives me more to continue to give back to people. My goal when I teach is that they pay it forward, when they are in the world. We can be the change to make this world a better place. Charity should be a part of our lives. I feel blessed that when I work with charities, they are able to raise more money for their cause.
