Knowing the differences between your male and female audience is extremely important in successful public speaking today
My first piece of advice is to relax and enjoy it. With a doubt, a female audience is much easier to address than an all-male audience. Business women are quicker to voice their approval and to express laughter. And, it is their response to your words or your message that can boost your confidence and make your presentation that much easier and fun to deliver.
What is fascinating about speaking to women is that you can become much more personal with them in your talk than you can with an all-male audience; and, there are not many subjects you cannot cover with a female audience. [Incidentally, an audience in which the majority in attendance are female is considered a female audience. While men are slower to laugh than women, if enough female voices are raised in laughter then the men will join in.]

Focus on more affordable – and casual – watches will help Citizen Watch Co. gain market share in the luxury timepiece market
Citizen Watch Co. just announced the acquisition of Bulova Corp. from Loews Corp. for $250 million. With this acquisition, which includes the luxury Wittnauer brand along with mid-priced brands Bulova, Accutron, and Caravelle, Citizen is likely to move up from its current ranking as the fifth most popular luxury watch brand, behind Rolex, Cartier, Omega, and TAG Heuer, according the Unity Marketing's quarterly Luxury Tracking Study which surveys 1,000+ luxury consumers on their luxury purchases and spending.
"The luxury segment of the watch market is likely to get even more competitive in 2008," says Pam Danziger, president of Unity Marketing and author of Shopping: Why We Love It and How Retailers Can Create the Ultimate Customer Experience.
