Photography is an art that can capture human emotions, brilliant sunsets, the motion of waterfalls and the global issues that are facing us today. Photography can tell a story of our past and our present. It provides the key to holding on to memories forever, and people who may no longer be with us today. It provides us with happiness, bewilderment, excitement and captures the Earth in all of it glorious wonders.
There are many things that motivate me and inspire me. When I began, it was about the joy that that it brings to my life and the feeling of independence, that it has given me. It was about achieving a career, which is intellectually stimulating as well as emotionally fulfilling. It has filled a hole, that I had, which was I wasn’t truly fulfilling my true potential as a person.

Transforming Traditional Etiquette Into A Contemporary Lifestyle
Being raised in the small, southern town of Graceville, Florida, manners and etiquette were a part of everyday life for Laura Pulido. As early as kindergarten, Laura remembers attending numerous “manners” classes at the local community center. She learned the difference between a fish fork and a salad fork as well as the importance of standing when someone enters the room for an introduction. Back then, Laura was taught to pick up the receiver, smile, and clearly state, "Hello, Benefield's residence, this is Laura" using a dinosaur -age telephone with a rotary dial - the idea of a smart phone was far from being conceived.
From the age of five, I was certain of two things; firstly that I wanted to work in fashion and secondly that I wanted to own my own business
It took another 25 years to realise my dream, and I can honestly say that it is the best decision I have ever made. Working for myself has not only enabled me to realise my dream, but it has allowed me to learn who I really am as a person, increase my confidence, but most of all, be genuinely happy.
Seven years ago, I was working in a 9 to 5 job, feeling like my life was a perpetual groundhog day. I didn’t hate my job but I knew that the world of being employed was not for me. Furthermore, I wasn’t working in the area that I had been passionate about since the age of five, which was fashion. I had trained as a graphic designer, gained a design degree and worked across various disciplines like retail, marketing and publishing. And although I always had great jobs, I was never satisfied and found myself becoming bored after a period of time had passed. Then one day, I had literally had enough, and decided that I was going tobreak into the fashion industry.
