We are thirsty to study how we can use influence strategies with OUR minds, OUR emotions, and OUR desires.

From Dale Carnegie to Robert Cialdini and Kevin Hogan, much information written on influence emerges from men. Even though the ideas and opinions they offer are valuable, women are yearning to know what influence tactics, negotiations, and language resonate for them.

We are thirsty to study how we can use influence strategies with OUR minds, OUR emotions, and OUR desires. A disconnect exists between what works for men and what works for women. Why shouldn't there be? I don't want to be a man. Do you?

Supporting another woman? Are you kidding? I can't support someone who could take my job, steal my thunder, or finish my story behind my back?

This is the message we hear especially in the work place. We live in a time where women are desperate for each other's wisdom and guidance. And yet, there's hesitation. Unfortunately, stats show bullying among women is on the rise.

We have a responsibility toward other women to support them in living their finest. It doesn't matter if they are mothers, coworkers, leaders, women business owners or friends. What matters is that we help other women live as close to their unique potential as possible.

In everything you say or do, you're influencing women you care about. Be considerate. Be intentional.

Here are ten ways to be your best while supporting other women realize the best that's within them.

Are You An Effective Loser? Resist The Urge To Throw In The Towel

Whether you like it or not, everyone loses.

You win some, and you lose some. Even if during these recessionary times it feels like there is more losing than winning.

But it's how you handle your loss that determines if you are going to be a long-term winner in business and your career.

In our competitive culture, losing often means you are "below average," "mediocre," or "not good enough." We are taught at a young age that being on the losing side is not the place we want to be. Oftentimes when we lose, we just want to pack it up and give in.

Is Your Work A Work of Art?

Written by Laura Lopez. Posted in Motivation and Self Improvement

Just the other day while painting, I realized that all work can be a work of art.

Not just the art-kind of work, but YOUR work as a marketer, as an engineer, women business owners, or a lawyer or an entrepreneur...the kind of work that you do to pay the bills, buy a house and raise the kids. You know the work that you often refer to as the-four-letter-word kind of work that is hopefully, yet painfully getting you to that paradise island in the sun you call retirement.

Yep, that's the work I am referring to and I believe your work or business can become a work of art.

But, there is a hitch. You have to put your heart into it.

My Home Is Resembling Noah’s Ark!

Home-Like-Noahs-Ark

I just moved to New Jersey. Actually, my husband and I had been splitting our time between two residences for years, one in Manhattan, and one in NJ.

Due some recent changes in our lives, and with the intention of being able to save more money, we recently decided to let go of the city apartment. So, as of the end of June we are now living full-time in NJ.

As I've been unpacking and combining the two households, it's been feeling a bit like Noah's ark….with 'two' of many things: two irons, two jars of nutmeg, two vacuum cleaners, two water filters, a total of 23 pairs of athletic socks, and more kitchen towels than I can shake a stick at.

SHE HAS OVER $6 TRILLION DOLLARS TO SPEND AND WOULD BUY FROM YOU IN A HEARTBEAT. IF ONLY SHE COULD FIND YOU. NOW SHE CAN.
